Pondering: Running
A co-worker has nearly convinced me to run a half marathon with him and his wife in October. It's really lovely to hear how much he believes in me and encourages me to set my goals higher than I typically do. Because I'm worth it (as he says). I still have my hesitations.
When I was younger I used to really enjoying running. I was even at the top of my class for the mile. This was grade school... 20 years ago. And then I got boobs.
Part of me is hugely intrigued about the thought of running a half marathon. In fact, at one point in time running a marathon was on my bucket list. But I think I removed it a year ago or so thinking that was a rather silly goal.
In the past couple of years I've really come to enjoy yoga, cycling, and personal training. Never in a million years did I think I would enjoy yoga or personal training, so maybe running will be the same?
So what's this girl to do? Train for 13.1?

Okay. So I know that I don't have boobs and all but I have heard WONDERFUL things about Lululemon's tata tamer from my friends and blends with boobs. They have a 5 year warranty on all their products too.
Also – you should sign up. Worst thing that would happen is that you walk part of it. I know for a fact you can WALK 13.1 miles, so why not try running some, most, or all of it? :)
P to the S I need to sign up for one too. I have a hard time signing up b/c I kicked ass last time I ran one and I don't think I can beat that time.
Also — I had a reallllly good half training plan for beginners somewhere. I had to start from scratch last time. I will see if I can find it. Just sign up. :) That, my friend, is the best running advice I can ever give.
Stephanie Dear...I too have big boobs. I run. There are bras that will tame them (or, there is always the option to double-up).
I hope Calee posts that half training guide - I need it! Was forced to take a break for a few weeks due to an injury and that might be exactly what I need.
I wish we lived in the same neighborhood so we could take morning runs (or bike rides) before work.
